• Hello Frontier Juniors and the Parents/Guardians of Frontier Juniors:

Due to Covid safety regulations, in place of the March 4th College Planning Night, the Frontier High School Counselors have created a College Planning Website to help guide you through the college application and post high school planning process.  Please take some time to check it out!  The link to the website is here: https://sites.google.com/frontiercsd.org/frontier-high-school-college-p/home It is a comprehensive site that will guide you through all phases of the college application process. Counselors meet individually with every senior in the Fall of senior year to help finalize individual plans, but there are many things that you should get started on now.

    - A Tentative Grade Point Average and Class Rank will be available for juniors on Monday, March 1st.  Students can email their counselor from their school email to receive their Tentative GPA/Class Rank starting Monday, March 1st.  These numbers include all of freshman and  sophomore years and any COMPLETED junior year (½ year) courses .  Courses are not calculated into GPA/Class Rank until they are complete so full year junior courses are NOT yet factored in.   Final GPA and Class Rank are calculated and released in October of senior year.

    - If you plan on applying to four year colleges, sign up for the SAT (offered May 8th at Frontier)  and/or ACT (offered June 12th at Frontier).  Register now to meet strict registration deadlines which are typically set about a month before the test date (See SAT/ACT at the College Planning Website for links to the testing agency websites).

    - Be sure to sign up to attend the NACAC Virtual College Fair on the College Visit Page of the College Planning Website.  This is a great opportunity to check out many colleges!

    - If you are an exemplary student and school/community citizen who would like to be considered by Frontier as a candidate for special college awards offered by a limited number of colleges/universities, be sure to fill out the online application and submit by Thursday, March 18th.  The Junior Award application is available at the Scholarship section of the College Planning Website.

Get started early on the college application process and please remember  your counselor is available to answer any questions you have every step of the way.  We look forward to working with you during this exciting time and helping you reach your educational and career goals after Frontier High School!

WNY College Fair 2021 - This is a nice opportunity for students to hear from all of the local colleges and have gain insights into the application process, financial aid, college decision process, and making a private college affordable.
