    Mrs. Colleen Duggan

       Assistant Superintendent of Instruction

Our school district is committed to providing your child with a rigorous challenging curriculum, the materials to support the curriculum and a professional development program for teachers that enables them to meet the needs of our students. Our goal is to partner with families to support what is taking place in the classroom and at home. We encourage any feedback concerning ways we can further this partnership.

As our students experience the challenges of the Common Core Learning Standards, the following NYS Publication as well as The National PTA Brochure may be of help to Parents:

The Instruction Office is responsible for the PreK-12 instructional Program and coordinates the staff development program providing continuous educational opportunities to support the District's professional staff.  Included in this process are:

    Ready GEN Reading Program

Our four elementary buildings began the implementation of our new reading series called, Ready GEN in September, 2017.   This is our primary K-5 reading series.  Ready GEN offers authentic texts with modeling and teacher-directed activities to drive learning and motivate readers.  Instruction focuses on reading, writing, speaking and listening, allowing students to read authentic literary and informational texts.  Ready GEN responds to the ELA shifts that are necessary to ensure that our students are college and career ready.

The Frontier Central School District in Hamburg NY is committed to providing all students with the academic and problem solving skills essential for personal development, responsible citizenship and life-long learning in a global world. The curriculum of the Frontier Central School District is aligned with the New York State Educational Standards. The most important function of a school district is the teaching and learning that happens in and out of the classroom.  The Frontier CSD is dedicated to providing the support and learning atmosphere for each and every one of our students to find success in the classroom, on the athletic fields and in the production of the Fine Arts.
