Overview:

English 12 is an overview of writing across all platforms, from creative voice to research.  The class takes writing assignments from college-based courses and the everyday need to communicate effectively in the modern world.  Students will be introduced to a variety of forms and be required to produce multiple pieces of the highest quality.

Materials:

Pen (Blue or Black)

Folder

Marble Notebook (It’s Retro and Cool)

Conduct:

You’re seniors now.

All school wide rules will be enforced, including the ban on cell phones in the classroom.

Grading:

90% Classwork/Homework

10% Conduct

All assignments are to be submitted within the designated window.  If an assignment is late, a penalty will be assessed.

Assignments may be emailed. 

Please format any assignment as doc, docx or pdf.

All assignments are to be typed unless designated by the instructor.

Final:

The final project is a portfolio review.  Each student is expected to keep an up to date portfolio that includes all completed assignments.  At the end of the class the students will reflect on their writing.
