Farm to school partnership Good nutrition plays an important role in the overall development of youngsters. A comprehensive school lunch and breakfast program is available to all students in the District, featuring a variety of appetizing and nutritious food choices, including fresh fruits and vegetables, lower-fat options and whole grain products.

The school lunch fulfills one-third of a child's requirement for calories, protein, vitamins and minerals; breakfast provides one-quarter. Based upon federal dietary guidelines, menus offered to students reflect nutritional balance, variety and popular food choices.
