Welcome to Spanish 5.
You have enrolled in a college level class and you will be required to speak Spanish every day. Participation is part of your grade. ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED!You are going to be taught college style. What does that mean? You will be given assignments and I expect them to be done. You will be tested on material that is assigned. When I say to study, do it. I am not telling you that you do not have homework when I say to study. This is going to be challenging and I have high expectations.-You will have quizzes on a regular basis, at least one per month.-There will be two major tests.-There will be two major presentations and various short presentations.-There will be two major essays.-You will need to keep an up to date journal of the grammar and writing assignments for the class.-You will have homework daily. Please be prepared with your homework when you walk in the door.-There will be a cumulative final exam.-You need 5 speaking points per week. Do not wait until FRIDAY to get them AND they DO NOT carry over week to week!-There is an attendance policy as per Hilbert so plan to be here!YOU NEED TO SIGN UP FOR THE CLASS IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM! There will be assignments and announcements posted on GOOGLE CLASSROOM regularly. Make sure that you sign up.

Your grade will be through Hilbert College and you will be able to receive credit for college if you have above a C average. There is a 200 dollar fee to take the course, which will be due in Feb/March. Please see me to make an appointment if you know you will be missing class or have a problem with the course materials. This is a fast paced class and you will need to keep up. Do not fall behind. I am here to encourage your success, however, you will need to be responsible for your own education.All information is outlined in your course contract. It is your responsibility to contact your future institute of study to find out 1) if the course will transfer AND 2) what it will transfer as (ie: elective or course towards your major).Let's make it a great year!
