•                Birthdays




    * Due to the many allergies in our school, our class will not be celebrating birthdays with school treats.      There are a number of students with allergies at our grade level.  As a 3rd grade team our classes collaborate a great deal and we want to keep each classroom a safe environment for every student. We know that birthdays are days that your child looks forward to sharing with their classmates.  I will certainly recognize each of them in a special way on their birthday.  

    The exception to our no treat rule would be holiday parties or planned grade level celebrations.  Food will be allowed in the room on these dates and each room cleaned thoroughly afterward.

    * Birthday invitations are prohibited unless there is one for every student in the class.  There is a phone tree that can be signed and used to inquire about addresses so invitations can be sent through the mail.
