• Skill Review for the week of March 23, 2020

This week we will review factors and comparing numbers.

Get a deck of cards. Take out all the aces and face cards.  (If you don't have a deck of cards then just create your own cards of 1 through 10!)  You can do each activity every day or pick a few to do each day.

    1. Pick two cards.  Find the product.  Then list all the factors of that product.  Do it five times!  For example, if I pick 6 and 5 I have the product of 30.  The factors of 30 are 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, and 30.

    2.  Pick up to six cards.  Create a number.  Write that number down.  Then write the number in expanded form.  For example, 45,738 in expanded form is 40,000 + 5,000 + 700 + 30 + 8.

    3.  Pick three cards.  Create a number.  Pick three more numbers.  Create another number.  Compare the two numbers using <, >, or =.  For a challenge, create bigger numbers - 4, 5, even 6 digit numbers.
