Five talented musicians from Frontier High School have been selected to perform in the prestigious NYSSMA Conference All-State Band and Wind Ensemble. This is a tremendous honor and represents one of the highest musical achievements a high school student in New York State can earn.
Students are selected for these ensembles based on their performance at a NYSSMA solo audition held last May. The selection process is extremely competitive, with hundreds of outstanding student musicians from across New York State auditioning for a limited number of positions.
The five Frontier students selected are Colin Zimmer, Andrew Dvornski, Brady Sullivan, Vinny Poppenberg, Eli Lebow. Their selection is a testament to their exceptional musicianship, dedication, and countless hours of preparation.
“These students should be incredibly proud of this accomplishment,” said Frontier band director Richard Riederer. “Being selected for an All-State ensemble is extremely difficult, and it is a wonderful recognition of the hard work and musical growth they have demonstrated over the years.”
The students will come together with some of the finest young musicians from throughout New York State to rehearse and perform under the direction of nationally recognized conductors at the NYSSMA Winter Conference held in Rochester, NY.
