Feedback

As the school year hits its stride, the school district is officially calling on families to help steer the direction of the upcoming months. The community-wide feedback initiative, which launched on Tuesday, September 29th, utilizes an interactive online platform called ThoughtExchange to crowdsource parent perspectives and highlight the community's top priorities.

District leaders emphasize that family input is vital for understanding what has worked well since the start of the term and identifying areas that require adjustment. The crowd-sourced data will directly influence how the district prioritizes resources, tackles operational hurdles, and addresses family concerns moving forward.

The district is asking parents and guardians to share their experiences regarding several critical operational areas:

  • Transportation logistics and busing routes

  • Security & Facilities safety measures and building conditions

  • School Schedule daily routines and calendar timing

  • Successes & Improvements overall wins or challenges faced by your family

Unlike standard surveys, ThoughtExchange allows participants to not only share their own anonymous feedback but also interact with ideas submitted by other district parents. The process follows four simple steps:

  • Share: Participants log in to anonymously answer two core questions regarding early successes and areas needing improvement.

  • Star: Users read thoughts submitted by other local families and assign stars to the ideas they agree with most.

  • Discover: A real-time results page allows everyone to see what matters most to the broader school community as priorities bubble to the top.

  • Revisit: The platform remains open for ongoing interaction, allowing families to return and rate new ideas as they are submitted by neighbors.

The window to participate is quickly closing. The final deadline to submit thoughts and rate feedback is October 8th.
