Ribbon cutting for new Falcon Center

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Christopher J. Swiatek Falcon Center took place Tuesday, August 19. The Frontier Central School District Board of Education’s August meeting followed at the site, which is located at 4540 Southwestern Boulevard in Hamburg.

The Falcon Center is the new home for Big Picture Academy  and Universal Pre-Kindergarten.

Big Picture, which utilizes a research-based, multi-faceted education model, had been housed at Erie Community College’s South Campus for the first two years of its existence.

“We are thrilled to be on a District campus. It’s all about expanding opportunities, building skills and increasing Falcon Pride,” said Danielle Kalinski, Principal of the Big Picture program, which will graduate its first class at the innovative high school in June 2026. “The building’s layout, facilities and location open up numerous experiences for students."

With the move into the Falcon Center, all Frontier UPK classes will be under one roof for the first time.

"Housing all of our pre-K classrooms in one center creates a centralized, supportive environment tailored specifically to the needs of our youngest Falcons,” said Linda Dansa, Frontier’s Director of Elementary Education, who is overseeing the UPK program. “Our amazing team of teachers and support staff will have greater opportunities to plan for, implement and refine our program.”
