COVID-19 Letter to Pinehurst Parents - January 6, 2021

Dear Pinehurst Parents and Staff:

We have received information regarding a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our District. The individual who tested positive spent time at Pinehurst Elementary on January 4, 2021. Please be aware that we cannot release the name or any other personally identifiable information regarding the individual.

The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) continues to conduct contact tracing and will reach out to anyone who may have had close contact with the person who tested positive. All individuals contacted are expected to comply with the instructions provided by the ECDOH, including any requirement to quarantine for a designated period of time.

The District has infectious disease health and safety protocols in place to minimize the spread of the virus and other illnesses. Our comprehensive reopening plan continues to be available for review on our district website, Please refer to the plan for more detailed information regarding the contact tracing process, as well as health and safety protocols.

All students, parents/guardians, and staff should continue to monitor their health for symptoms of COVID-19 and follow the Temperature and Daily Self-screening Protocol. If you or a family member experiences COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider.
We will work with affected families to support them through this process. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s building principal.
