The Frontier Board of Education has decided to conduct an "executive search" for the next Superintendent of Schools. This means only the Board will interview candidates and only the Board will know who applies. The Board made this decision because a "public search" (where other stakeholders sit on interviews and candidates are announced to the public) would deter a significant number of highly qualified candidates who are currently employed from applying.
However, this was a difficult decision because the Board deeply values all stakeholder input and wants to make sure we hire the best leader for Frontier. To gather input, the Board's search consultant will be meeting with small groups representing Frontier's stakeholders. Additionally, the Board is asking all stakeholders to complete the following survey which asks what qualities you find most important in a new Superintendent, as well as the positives about the District and the challenges the District faces. This survey is open to the entire Frontier community, including students, employees, parents, residents, alumni, and anyone else with a connection to the District.
The Board will use the survey results when determining who to interview and who to hire as the next Superintendent. So please take the time to complete it. It should take 15 minutes or less. Please complete the survey no later than March 11, 2021.
