• Standardized testing is an important part of the college planning process.  In 2020, Juniors will be taking the PSAT at Frontier High School from 7:45-11:45 (approx) on Saturday, October 17th.  All Juniors will be given registration information in their English classes in September 2020.  Students interested in registering need to go to the Frontier High School website and register through the link labeled PSAT.  The cost of the test is $27.  This can be paid online with a credit card, debit card or electronic check.  If you are unable to afford the cost of the test, please see your counselor.  Once you have registered for the test, please pick up an information packet in the Student Service office.

All students planning on attending a four year college or university should then take BOTH the SAT I with Writing and the ACT with Writing in the spring of their Junior year.  SAT II's (subject tests) are required by certain colleges.  Students should check the requirements of the schools they are interested in applying to.  In the Fall of the senior year, students can re-take one or both tests to increase their chances of college admissions and scholarship money.  Listed below are the schedules for upcoming standardized tests as well as links to register for these tests online.  When registering for the tests,  students should have their test scores to colleges they may be interested in.  Your registration fee covers scores sent free to 4 colleges.  If you don't do it at registration you will have to have them sent later and it will cost extra.  SAT and ACT scores are NOT on the high school transcripts.
